    DVD players.. is it normal

Hi guys, I picked myself up a cheap DVD player cause my last MP3 unit died and I just needed a quick replacement.
I've always run the front off the headunit and rears+sub of an amp through RCA's - just cheap setup.
What I'm wondering is if it's normal for DVD players to not play sound through the RCA's when playing a DVD?
As it stands, looks like I'm gonna have to rewire this cheap sh*t so the amp runs off the normal rear speaker wiring. Seems dam dodgy to me!

    No, it is not normal.

Probably should ask, does it do it for CDs too?
...... and that's all I have to say about that.

To be honest I havent tried a cd yet. Teh RCA's work fine with the radio but as soon as the DVD starts playing they cut and cut back in when you go back to radio. I'll check tomorrow with an audio cd, mp3cd and divx movie.

By the way, it's only got one pair of RCA's... (L) and (R).

    cheers
