Help with installing rear spoiler on 06 civic, has anyone done it?

Hi Guys, I bought a whole bodykit for my civic 06, but in the instruction manual for the installation of the rear spoiler (the one that goes over the rear bumper) it mentions the use of an L shaped template i could not find in my pack.

The template is supposed to help you measure where to stick the spoiler onto the bumper.

Can someone take the measure of how far down the bumper it needs to be installed, so i can do it?

    Thanks

aussiebuddha, run your fingers or using a small mirror see if you can see any pre-marked holes from behind. Or just take the bumper off.

Normally, Honda parts such as these (bumpers) have pre-marked holes from where you need to drill holes to bolt these lips on, so see if there is any and that would normally give you an idea of where to bolt the lip on.

If the lip/body kit is from Honda, then they would have designed it so that the lip will fit perfectly in the pre-marked holes already marked inside/underneath the OEM bumper.

Replica lips will not have any of these marked holes etc to attach to the OEM bumpers so I wouldn't recommend using replicas, if money is not a factor. A lot of hassle with replicas and often are out of shape or not a 100% fit.

    Hope that helps.
