    Talking 92 si engine swap

    Hey guys, ive got a Prelude si 2.3L 4ws i want to change my 2.3L engine to a 2.2L VTEC whats the best way to do this?

    ive seen for sale a new H22A motor for 2.5K is this a decent price comes with ECU.

    any advice?

    Since your Have the H23a in your prelude, swapping in the H22a is a bolt in process using all your factory mounts etc.

    2.5k is not a bad price if it includes gearbox and ECU.

    Another option is to build yourself a H23a VTEC buy swapping the h22a Head etc onto
    your H23a block.

    Try contacting a few workshop/traders in your area to get a quote on either motor.

    so if i change the H23 head to the H22A head i will have a H23a VTEC? will it blot st8 on or do i need gearbox and ecu?

    In a simple answer yes.

    You may require the H22a Piston & rods also.

    This will require the H22a ECU & Gearbox aswell & axles & intermediate shaft also.

    h22a halfcut around 2.5-3k... change everything over... especially gearbox straight forward conversion

    you wont regret it. swap it all over with new gearbox.

    i did my own h23 to h22 conversion and now hav turboed it ull love it

    dont bother with the hybrid. too much effort needed doing that. besides there aren't many mechanics with that sort of experience apart from those in the states.
