    Injectors

    Hey,

Can someone please shed some light on the in's and out's of injectors. I'm shopping for them now (~440cc) and I've heard a few things, however I don't know how correct they are. These are my concerns for my 12PSI setup -

    1. Are injectors universal? If not, what type do I look for to fit my 94 EH9 Civic VTi (1.6 SOHC Vtec).
    2. What are the leading brands in injector manufacture.
    3. What sort of injectors do you recommend I go for (I hear words like saturated, impedence etc.).
    4. Will I need a resistor box? (I assume my car is OBD1, can anyone confirm this?).

    Any answer is appreciated!

    Thanks.

I would just tell the supplier what car the injectors are intended for. Some will need a little modifying to suit, like the rubbers they sit in. Speak to Jdm-Yard (trader)

    2. What are the leading brands in injector manufacture.

    RC, Sard, lots of others.....

    3. What sort of injectors do you recommend I go for (I hear words like saturated, impedence etc.).

If your car is OBD1 I am not sure if they are Peak & Hold or Saturated. I think it depends on year model as well, can someone confirm this please. Being a 94 I think yours would be Saturated?

    4. Will I need a resistor box? (I assume my car is OBD1, can anyone confirm this?).

Peak & Hold injectors require a resistor box Saturated injectors do not.

    Hope that helps.

Yeah just found out - my stock injectors are saturated. So I'll need a resistor box if I go P&H.

Now, I have HEARD that you can use fuel rails (with the rising rate FPR) from a turbo DSM (Eclipse/Talon/Laser turbo) on Hondas/Acuras, but I am not certain. SOOO, if anyone has any info or knows for sure if you can/can't, please let me know!

Why can't you just get Saturated injectors?

I have RC 750cc Saturated injectors. Got them off JDM-Yard.

How bout you just keep it simple and get 440CC RC Saturated injectors that will bolt straight onto your current fuel setup. Simple or what.

yeah as barefoot said, for ur setup or planned setup 440CC RC injectors would be fine, if ur paranoid 550CC will be huge. trust me u wouldnt max out the 440CC's

Just run the high impedance saturated ones. I was going to buy a set of peak and holds as they seem to be cheaper and come in a bigger range of sizes, but ended up with some saturated RC 650cc's in the end, no funny business required.
