engine torque damper

hi can anyone post up fitting instruction for engine torque damper for a dc2 integra? i bought 1 and it did not come with instructions i have looked on the net and cant find anything. i dont know what brand it is but the brackets are the same as the spoon one.

Two options.

Engine mount
1 - THe mount on the engine side with some ETD's connects directly to the top of the RHS engine mount (when looking towards the car).
2 - Some other brands have the engine bracket mounted via the screw hole used when raising or lowering a honda engine. This is located on the RHS of the engine on the side facing the rear.

Chassis mount.

THe chassis mount will use bolt holes that the suspension struts, or strut brace also uses.

then it should be bolt on the RHS of the struct tower there....

or else u can go to spoon website to read it as a refer....

sorry for the noob question, but what do these do? and whats the benefits? and are ther any down sides?

not a topic that many people touch on and im trying to do some research for doing up my car

minimises wasted torque that goes to moving the engine around.

Cheap alternative to aftermarket engine mounts withouth the hassle of noticeable cabin/chassis vibrations.

Possible Pro's.
- Less wheel hop
- Engine and GB line up better due to reduced engine movement
- More torque at the wheels due to reduced engine movement
- Less strain on engine mounts.

Possible Cons
- Engine vibration
- Some brands can be expensive

One major Con is they increase engine noise, you can hear the tappets and injectors ticking away

well think about it..

sound is created due to vibrations.

Vibrations from the engine is now being transferred via the ETD into the chassis which you are sitting in.

It is barely noticeable btw...if anything, make the engine sound harsher and meaner.
