I just bought my Euro 06 Standard Manual (and I've only had it for a week). Got it for $34,000 drive away including mats, tint (the high metal content one, not the black one), and VIP protection pack - paint, vinyl and fabric protection. All inclusive of the current sale items - 5 yr warranty, 5 yr roadside, 1 yr comprehensive insurance.....and yes in the ACT.
I looked at the luxury....and minus the pimp factor of leather seats, I found that the rest of the extras on offer were not really worth the extra $8,000 or so more.
I love the power and the ride of this car....mind you, my only comparison are a Mazda 6, Camry V6, and my Mirage.

Whoa, that is a bloody good price for all the goodies you got with it.

Yeah tell me about it....one of the local dealers told me to "go get it from Tynans" when I told him about the price that I they quoted me ($33,000 drive away with mats and black tint). Too bad. He missed out on a sale that day.

I would love to get a lux model but I figured the base model was sufficent and decided to save money for the new Ducati 1098 instead.

Good buy... I got it about 1 month earlier for the same price but no tint and no lousy protection pack...

Well I am not complaining, cause I know the price will drop if I wait longer, but cant really do without a car... If you wait until next year, probably can get 06 for even cheaper

Great driveaway price! mind you... you can't really compare a Camry V6 with a Euro.. not even their new Camry is comparable

Tho, the comfort of heated seats, leather, sunroof, larger alloys, HID's, fog lights.. not even sure if there are extra air bags.. i'm sure it would come close to 8K?

Yeah I know......I liken the drive quality of a Camry to that of a boat.....you know...a tug boat. Mind you, it was my Dad's Camry that I was making my comparison to....typical old man's car complete with Champaigne gold paint. I had a quick look at the Aurion when I was car shopping.....yup...its still very much a Camry.

Yeah probably.....but it's $8k of extras that I can live without. Each to their own I guess.
Also doesn't the Luxury have curtain airbags (as the additional airbags) ?

Definately a good saving if you don't need the extra's.. and it's lighter too ^__^
