    07 Civic fuel consumption normal?

Hi Guys, my new 07 civic vti auto has only 5 boxes(approx 1/5 of total) on the fuel meter after only 310KM since full tank.

Is there something wrong with this figure? It's around 12.5L/100KM on mostly normal driving, mixed city and freeway. Max rpm i reached was <4K only about 3 times. Could it be possible that the dealer filled up with 10% ethanol and the car drinks too much of it...? Thanks in Advance for your suggestions.

I drive a 06 Sport auto and i get about 470km on a full tank of 98 BP Ultimate. I didnt let it go all just up to the last block then off to the servo. For me its rougly 25km per block. With the air cons on this summer, i average about 450km/tank. I do freeway, city, normal driving, bit of everything.

Thanks, i might fill it up with 98 next time and see how it goes... but 12.5L/100KM .... hopfully it's just because it's a new car.

When my car was new, i got about 420km/tank. So i guess maybe ur right. Wait til after ur first service if you havent been. And when i got my car from the dealer, it was filled with who knows what. So when i hit the last block, i remember circling a BP station until i thought it was drained down to the last few drop or atleast to close. Then filled it up with 98 BP Ultimate and I have been using this since.

new cars generally as a rule of thumb suck a bit more fuel. give it a while and see how it goes.

Mine's an '07 sport auto and less than 2000km atm, my consumption is 9.5l per 100km. Poorer than expected but its early days. Experience tells me that it can take up to 20,000km before the engine fully loosens up.

Yep my Euro was using over 15L/100km when new, now it uses 10L/100km.
Give it around 10,000km to reach its rated fuel consumption.

i drive a 06 vti auto and get about 8.7-8.9L/100 i calculate by dividing the km with the ltrs of petrol i put in each time i fuel up
my driving is mainly city based
and i usually do about 410-430 before the fuel light goes up with 2 or 3 blocks left

my 8th Gen civic sports was fully run-in and i'm getting about 480km on highway driving to and fro from work. Its generally much lesser if i ran it with air-con on.

i'm on BP 98 as well.

Wow... I've got a Auto Sport as well and I only get a bit over 400, but I've only let it go about 2-3 bars to empty.

Currently over 24000k at the moment.

Drove to Port Mac 2 months ago and got over 600kms on a tank! I feel like all this city driving is ripping me off

well it looks like you still got approx 7.50L/100 on your trip to Port Macq, not exactly very very fuel efficient, i thought the 8th gen were alot fuel efficient, u would have thought ud get 5.50 on long country drives.
