I do get the exact tapping sounds as well, i can hear it quite loud while waiting on the traffic light (idle engine) quite annoying sometimes interfeering with the soft music from the cd that i played grrrrrr...is there anything the dealer can do about it? since i've got my 10,000 service due already.

Mine has done close to 20,000kms now... Just did the last service a month ago. Keep me posted if you went to the dealer on this.

The car is mostly parked under hot sun while I am at work. I;ve no garage at home as well... so you can say my car gets the sun everytime it shines. Poor car.

Yes, you have to replicate it to your dealer. So make sure you sit with them in the car to point out the sound.

    Tapping loose bolt

Open the roof mounted sunglass holder and, using an 8mm hex socket, tighten the right side bolt inside (you'll need a torch). This bolt works loose and causes the roof lining above the driver to make a tapping/creaking sound.
