    Unhappy EG problems!

I have recently experienced aproblem with my eg civic (Si)

at first it was when i rev my car and leave it in the high revs, i would get a rattle noise coming from the rocker cover.

as soon as i heard this i was also loosing power.

so i decided to flush the oil out, change the oil filter, and put in new oil. then my mate told me that you can get something from super cheap auto that can fix this rattling noise which goes in with your oil.

i change the oil and stuff and it wasnt rattling as much as b4. so i was on my way to super cheap to get the repair oil and as soon as i turned the corner out of my street i heard a big bang as if something snapped and my car turned off!

i tried turning on the car again and it was stuggling to turn on and when it eventualy did turn on the car sounded like fcuking broken down washing machine. the banging noise was even louder and it would then just turn off.

does any1 know what the problem is???

perhaps the valves are loose in one or more cylinders and leaving the valves to bounce around ? FFS who knows.

How many k's on your car ?
When was it last serviced ?

Did it TURN over at all or slowly turn over ?

OR did the engine feel like it was "seized"?

    Sounds pretty bad man.

Timing belt damaged or jumped teeth?

Maybe a tappet came loose and it jumping around in there causing havoc.
Take the rocker cover off with a 12mm socket and have a look at the damage

The tappets are near the CAMS. But you also wanna check the rocker arms near the CAM's

If you remove the top engine cover (rocker cover) you will see the tappets and rocker arms.
