    Brake dust on wheels ! help

    hey peeps,

    i got sum SERIOUS brake dust on my white DC2R rims
    i have scrubed for hours but doesnt come off
    just wondering what people use to get some serious brake dust off
    their rims !

    hmm.. carby cleaner? bug n tar remover? give it a go.. i sprayed bug n tar remover to get some glue off my front n rear bars. lol duno about brake dust but.. that must have baked in hard

    oh yeah crazy as it may sound.. but try hot water.. maybe not boiling water.. but pretty hot water.. with a pair of dish washing gloves maybe

    what did u use to scrub it off?? just the sponge or soft/medium brush??

    1st i used car washing detergent with a sponge and a soft/medium
    toothbrush lol

    then i used degreaser with a cloth both didnt work this is some hardcore brake dust

    ahahaha swapped rims wif another owner he never washed it just
    left it like that

    Use the toothbrush, but use diluted liquid laundry detergent in a spray bottle.

    Hey mate have you tried spraying meguiars hot wheels spray on them. That stuff is awesome. I had same prob on my old car and the spray worked wonders..

    Try using a claybar (since it's contminants embedded in paint). Other than that, try Isopropyl alcohol on a rag.
