okay..i just checked out a place called ' expert glass co.pty ltd' and they said its nothing to do with the mirror lol, take it to a mechanic to bend the carbon + mirror outwards, if u know wat i mean ..like im gona do that!!..
yeah i think i need a place lol..i only have trouble with the left mirror
yeh i feel for you neil1112. i bought a set of mirrors from US ebay as well and found out that it creates a problem in terms of visibility (i can see perfectly fine on the passenger side, but not the driver's). basically i have to lean forward to be able to get full visibility of the driver's side mirror.
mine are powered, so im stuck wid em until i buy proper RHD ones.
moral: dont buy side mirrors from US (or any other country) unless specified for RHD.
lol, avoid gutter hits, and get wiped out by a cement truck on the highway.....
lol true dat. its unsafe when driving since cars on the left appear much closer, making it hard to judge if its safe to merge or not, and distracting you from whats happening ahead of you
I've got the same ones as the the ones in the second pic (not on the car)
I haven't got any problems with them, they are both just normal mirrors, neither is magnified, and they are manual/non electric. I had to custom make some plastic plates to make them fit my eg (they came with EK base plates i think) but once i had them positioned the way i liked (so that i could see) i just glued the glass there so it wouldn't move.
I got these second hand off Nerv here on OH and the little screws that hold the mirror in place were a bit loose from wear and tear, but now it's not moving anywhere, no matter how big the bumps are. It ended up costing me around 150 including the mirrors, getting them painted and getting my old base plates modified
I'm pretty sure Barefoot has the same ones on his EK so pm him and see if he's got any advice for you
Life is like a box of chocolates
It doesn't last as long for fat people
don't know about other cars, but au dc2r has the left passenger mirror (the whole mirror structure) bended or curved into the car more (towards the rear).
i know my discription is very difficult to understand, but to those who do, pls re-explain to ppls.
wht i'm saying is that both sides are not symetrical in shape.
