Also he sed that Honda was going to bring the Civic Hatchback instead of CTR Hatchback. And the price of the Civic Hatchback is almost the same as the CTR, thats why they cancel it and bring the CTR instead
Yeh if people are willing to wait for 2 years or so. Pretty sure something better will be out by that time.

i'm not saying this car is not good, but for AUD 40k+, for hatch i think it's too expensive.we have a lot of choices (more lux, more power, more sporty).but if we see this car alone, wow, i will say very GOOD!impresive!
if this hatch for sale about 20k+ or 30k-, i will sale car+plasma+fridge+washing machine to make money to buy this car
of course, UK mag will say good, because this is theirs car! is ever ausie mag said bad about holden? even they gave title : car of the year

Stig loves the car, he chose the CTR over the other Hot hatches. Its not about how fast you go its about how fun the car is when you drive it, the CTR didn't do to well around the track compared to the other hatches he purely chose it because it was fun to drive.

If you look at last years top gear, GTI won the car of the year award because it was fun disregarding the lap time against other hatches. If you want a racing car then you are better off getting another car other then this.

This is his point...and it's so very true.
People on top gear are bias towards UK built cars.

    Interesting hypothetical.

    If you were to say that "a" JDM CTR hatch had the following attributes;

    - mechanical LSD
    - independant rear suspension
    - light weight. Let's face it, 1300+ kgs (with a/c) is NOT light for a 3 door hatch in absolute terms (relative to the competition - maybe).
    - 50% greater torsional rigidity than a JDM DC5R
    - "considered" engineering touches (e.g. lowering the seat height to lower centre of gravity to offset the MPV-like body etc etc etc and all the other detailed changes we expect for a true "Type R")

...then the answer would be YES. I probably would prefer the hatch.

Too bad that none of those attributes exist for this UK CTR we're getting.

If Honda Australia can bring the JDM CTR sedan then I would buy it, as it would be the only car that Honda Australia could (potentially) make available to us that is worthy of being a replacement for the DC2R - the only true Type R experience that us Aussies have been able to purchase from a dealer.

I think for honda australia to bring in any type R is definately a good cause...the reason being that they needed a hot hatch to compete against the GTI, focus, etc, not a hot sedan as the JDM civic is
Honda the power of wet dreams
