    EuroAccord13 + AaronNg's Added Weight

    Oh yeah... We've gone negatively on weight reduction and went on weight addition!

    Maven Motorsports Mark 1 Shift Knob FTW!

    A little info...

    According to my Missus' precision (truth or not I have no idea) kitchen scale;

    The OEM Euro shift knob weighs in at 80 grams.

    The DC5R one weighs in at 150 grams.

    The Maven one weighs in at 475 grams (Very close to the advertised 472 grams).

    Check out the quality stainless steel spun finish...
    The photo don't do enough justice....

    Comparison against the DC5R and OEM ones... Sits slightly taller than the DC5R's..

    As for the installed product, I do not have the DC5 ring on the boot and the OEM clippy looks ugly hanging loose under the shift knob, what I did was to remove that clip from the boot and placed a couple of strings of velcro cable ties and stacked them to the right height, then I filled up the hole where the clip sits with another velcro cable tie, snug fit and as Selley's would say, NO MORE GAPS!

    HOW DID MAVEN MARK 1 FEEL?

    Solid shifting feel against the OEM. Throw is definitely more spot on... The lower height of the Mark 1 also helps to shorten the shift throw (Abeit more obvious on those without a short shifter kit, I have a short shifter and it's not that obvious, I used less hand movement to shift). Because of the weight, less effort is required to shift as well...

    As for the shape.. Opinions may vary with different people, I am so used to my own style of shifting with the OEM knob, it is taking me a little time to get used to it..

    Beware though, when summer kicks in... Uber hot knob! You can use the supplied shift knob bag to cover it over summer, I will be using that and the Asimo Sock to protect it from the sun... No one wants a fried palm

    Crossing knobs is fine as long as the balls don't touch.

    Contact member ---> Dan Martin (He's the manufacturer) for details... I'll leave him to you to discuss prices with him..

    P.S: This is no way a plug for for Maven Motorsports. I am merely showing off my new knob and reviewing it....
