Im not sure about the qaulity of peddar springs; that you will find out over time.

find out the spring rates.. alot of australian copied springs dont really forcus on rates and are more focused on height and comfort..

you can also get koni's for around $850 for a civic here is Sydney if you shop around..

Where would you recommend to get koni's from? Melbourne if possible. Thanks for all the advice very helpful starting to lean towards koni's and better springs unless someone has something good to say about the coilovers. Thanks all.

There are plenty of spring/shocks combination out there. You can get cheap ones but to stretch your budget of $1500 and to get the best out of it, this is my 2cents.

    1. Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs and Koni Yellow combo or
    2. Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs and Bilstein Heavy Duty combo.

Either combo will cost you around $1400 delivered to your door!

Compared to Tein SS coilovers for around the same price, you will be more than happy with the combos mentioned above with regards to comfort and performance on street and occasional track use.

When you get hit by customs you'll be up for at least GST for starters, so that's $125 - $140 right up. The one webpage has all the info you need on it, a quick google should bring it up.
Yeah the shipping is pretty nuts!

For the shocks i was estimating around $212US or $256AU for shipment, which brings the price to $800AU shipped. But then again if you gotta add GST/taxes importing parts (never had to on my ASR brace ) it would certainly hike that up a bit.

Im gunna have a search around for that web page, cus im interested to know how it all works.

That's because your ASR brace + shipping would have come in under $1000. Anything over $1000 and you become eligible for customs duty and gst - which a set of shocks and springs should reach.

Sometimes you do get lucky and don't have to pay anything though - they let a $2,500 shipment through to me for free this time last year. I don't know what happened but I sure wasn't going to ask questions.
