Thread: New Honda MTF?

  1. #13
yeah its just prob a superseeded for cost wise.

i noticed that as well coz i did a oil change on my gbox last weekend.but as long as its the same weight i.e 75w80 i dont think it should b any problem coz i mixed the two and i have no problems.

Either way, it seems to be smoother than the old MTF.

Was at Garry Warren Smith on Friday, they have 5L bottles as well. It's the one with the yellow label. I also saw the 4L bottles. Different name, same stuff.

It's $15.90 here from the dealer. I paid $13.50 because I bought it from Hondwreck.

Yours doesn't count. It's not retail price.

is there a way to find out? or juts ask over the counter staff?

Varies for different cars and whether it is AT, MT or CVT (all 3 take different fluid as well). Check your user manual first. They usually list fluid capacities.

can confirm this new mtf 06.
just used it on sunday. this palce i went to only had 2 mtf 06 bottles and 1 mtf plus . i was desperate so i just used those three.
shifting felt great cold shifting was improved dramatically.
but not sure if it was any different from mtf plus since the oil i was using prior to this was syntrax. which did not perform well cold.
    to you

In the B series about 2 and a bit Litres. So 3 bottles just to be safe cos you spill abit when putting it in if you haven't done it before ;P
