    D2 Coilovers Knocking?

    well ive recently purchased some coilovers for my teg,
    and ive been hearing that they begin 2 knock after some time..
    any1 had experience with this? and what is it?
    some insight would be great

    i havent installed them yet,
    but 2 ppl have told me they "knock"

    If youve already purchased em, there not much you can do, so best not to worry. Just get them installed and hope that you dont have issues.

    D2 have short springs, they might be experiencing the knock from the pillow ball (if it comes with it) or the springs knocking each other on compression...

    Does the D2 come with its own upper mount?

    d2 are very unsafe and noisey units as have had bad experiences with dc5 coilovers made by d2. in the end a refund was given. good luck.

    and if it is the springs are they secured correctly and whats your dampener settings?

    is it solid pillow tops? if so it can be expexted after some use.

    With D2, the more you lower the car, the more the coils are closer to each other and the springs itself are already so short... I'm sure the coils will start bumping each other out...

    P.S I'm not sure if the D2 comes with the upper pillow mount in your case... Does it?


    You can stop this problem (If it is indeed the coils knocking) by wrapping the coils with rubber wrap that most suspension places will sell....

    i've had mine for bout 7-8 months now and no knocking sound???
