an "EEEEee" noise at 3000rpm jdm teggy

Hey guys,
I drive a jdm dc2r, just wondering when the car revs over 3000rpm it makes this "EEEEeeeEEEE" Noise not knowing what it is? My friends reckon its the intake, but im not quite sure if other jdm dc2r's make that noise. Can someone please let me know what it is.

where is sound come from ?

does the sounds look like metal knocking or strectching each other ? or.....

Trying to describe what something sounds like over the net is stupid.

Take your car to a mechanic, and take him/her for a spin so that the sound is produced.
That way they can hear wat it is and possibly fix it (if it is a problem).

if you have an aftermarket airfilter (pod filter), thats most likely where the sound is comming from. this happens with a couple of my mates cars too.

if its the air filter, probably be more of a PShhHHtTTttt sound.

yeah i know what it is ur talkin about...
my one does the same but its on the throttle control dussnt happen when its flat foot more like 1\4 throttle and ull hear it... its all good apparently its the optimum point for acceleration for fuel consumption

my guess is, your headers or exhaust is leaking?

by my guess its neither of the above.

an eeee noise is usually because you recently had a new headunit put into the car running with an amp OR with rcas somewhere.
with that, the rcas are too close to the ground or power cables.

IF you havent gotten an aftermarket head unit, then during the period of you owning your car, the electronics (possible ground) or the sound system has come very close or near a speaker wire or once again .. rcas

if none of the above is the cause then maybe you have a manifold leak :/ lol
but an eee sound isnt realli a mechanical fault sound.

If it sounds like a metalic noise and its jdm the car could be pinging

Yes, i have an aftermarket air filter. To be more precise it sounds like a whistleeeeee!! Is that normal? If so why does it make that noise.. =)
