the euro measures the tank vertically and the tank has less volume at the bottom than at the top.

    oops sorry

i am looking at buying an 2004 accord euro. the car has gone 120,000 kms already.

Just wondering if anyone has a car with similar KMs clocked on theirs and how is their fuel consumption at the moment?

Just curious if the fuel consumption gets worse as the car clocks more KMs

Oh alright, I got mine with only 65XXX on it in pretty much new condition, still with new car warranty so. I think 120 is pretty high for a 2004 one :S
Considering most people only do about 15-20k a year, that's pretty high k's

i have about 110k on the clock, 2004 model and get about 760 - 770km to a tank, thats 95% city driving, out on the highway ive gotten 910km to a tank. so to answer your question, no fuel consump doesnt really get much worst with age. Having said that, it also depends on how well maintained the car is, service history, engine run in .....

Did you install a hybrid electric motor in your car? Or do you live in a city with no traffic lights and speed limit (Alice Springs city)? 760kms in 95% city mode is just simply fantastic, and I could not believe that number. That's 7.8l/100km!

I can confirm ABS121's figures. I have a 2006 manual standard and consistently manage about 7.2 - 7.6l/100km's in town and have been down to 5.3l/100km's on the highway.

The secret is to short shift (i.e. keep revs below 2000rpm) and use quarter throttle. Just be sure to not let the engine get too bogged down.
