You can import one, but you cannot road register it. The only way now is to live overseas for 1 year, own and drive the car for 1 year and migrate back here with the car and proof.

there is a guy in WA who imports UK type-Rs and can have them on the road for about $30k, he is the only one in western australia (or maybe all of australia idno tho) who has the license to import them.

Maybe that is why we are getting lots of people saying that they are getting FN2Rs for $38000 drive away. boom boom.
