    Decision Time!

Hey guys, been a regular visitor to the site for many months, need some opinions from some of the guys in the know!

im 17 and with an auto licence, got budget of around $7000 and purchasing a manual ek civic. Just wondering whether the cxi or gli is the go? also wondering about the power of the ek, will it satisfy a previous 1.8 corolla driver ?

also planning on lowering it, colour coding side mouldings, 15 or 16s and replacing muffler. could anyone suggest some readily avaiable jdm STYLE wheels to suit my needs? cheers!

I was personally in the similar situation a long time ago. I drove a AE94 corolla whilst learning manual.

My suggestion is to go for a integra DC4, as I did. You can get a 94-97 (pre-facelift) for your budget if you do some thorough searching and haggling. Theres good aftermarket support (use DC2 parts) and I'm sure these go faster than a corolla. Just adding another option to a EK.

    EK Gli
GLI or CXI no big difference.
GLI has power windows, rear disc brakes and a tacho whereas the CXI doesn't. Nevertheless both are good sensible options. At least youre not like other newcomers who are like..

basically GLI and CXI has the same engine, but GLI is a bit more lux with electric window and mirror.

Gli has rpm gauge as well whereas CXi doesn't from memory.

GLI-power windows, mirrors, driver + Passenger side airbag, rear disc brakes, tacho
CXI-no power windows/mirrors, only driverside airbag, rear drums, no tacho.
as long as the EK you find is under ur budget, low k's, no damage, excellent cond, it doesnt really matter GLI or CXI especially if u plan on modding,
