    its not quite as loud as a b series crossing over.. and u wont hear it much if at all if u have an aftermarket exhaust unless its quiet as stock!

    i get premature vtec

    mine kicks in at 2000-3000rpm.

    got the same car. it isn't like a DOHC when it just starts screaming. but it is vtec and it does kick in..

    dude,why didnt u tell me when i was there,i coulda checked it out.

    it wont rev very smoothly all the way to redline if its not changing over & i thought i heard him winding it right out at the time.It will sort of start to loose power quite dramatically at about 6000rpm if its not working.

    yeh but i even took off the airfilter cover and everything.. i remember my mates civic vti hatch and u can hear it cross over..this is just nothing..

    It's nothing compared to the VTi-R Vtec "kickover" sound, I wouldn't spend the cash to get the D16Y8 louder imo, lol. You want that noise get a B16A Vtec, mine sounds nice with my current exhaust and intake setup but still the B sound is such a nice note that can't be obtained on the D unfortunately
