hey, ive tried a light search by skimming through most threads but i cant seem to find if anyone has installed the xcarlink in an auto euro.

I would like to know how i would go about removing the console in an auto?

    Afraid of cracking something lol.

    Thanks

its basically the same, the panel surrounding the gear lever pulls straight up... the rest is fairly obvious. Getting your fingernails under it and getting a good grip is the problem.

Finished installing it after a good 2.5 hours with sore finger tips lol.

It took me a while to take off the gearstick panel as it was soooo tight! each time i attempted it i would increase the force a tad as i was afraid of breaking the panel. Eventually i just grew impatient and increased the force x10 lol, and it snapped out.

Overall good product, sound quality isn't top notch but good enough. Atleast im able to connect my ipod now.

sound quality is not great as you are running mp3s.
you need music files to be ripped off or minimum of 192kbps equivalent to CD quality but still you may have variances.

    What he said.

I have the prolink USA version and the sound quality is as good as CD's. Most of my music on my iPod is ripped to 320kbps though.

You play poorly encoded mp3's through it, you're gonna get poor sound!

hard to get even quality throughout cause all mp3s you download are all sorts of quality ranges.

Not really.. most music stores come only at 320 and are pretty standard in the encoding levels of their mp3s.
