    Brake Fluid - Change Intervals

    Hey all,

I had my Elf brake fluid put in the car about 8 months ago when i changed my pads... ive done 2 track days in that time, and probaably about 3000 road kms...

is it time to change? i read somewhere that after a while brake fluid goes off and needs replacing? i know this sounds hell noob... sorry guys

useually every 20 000km or 12months is a good time to replace brake fluid

In the past with track days.... I would bleed a bit out of each caliper when I got home and top up res.

However for my normal daily driven cars... 12 months seems to be a goer for me...... and of course if there is a pad change in between.

for regular driving it's every 60k/3yrs, but if you're tracking it etc you'd be better off doing it more frequently

I usually just bleed a little bit out of each caliper after a trackday or two. Not change the entire fluid.
