    Used Wrong Oil?

Around 950km ago my dad changed the oil in my car (Engine - H22A) to a 25W-50 oil.

I know this is the wrong type of oil but is it harmful to the engine itself? Should I change the oil now or wait till my normal 5000km oil change interval?

depends if you want to risk want your oil squirters to clog up, then lack of oil pressure causes the engine to go %^&^&*

all depends on the condition of your engine,

if she has lots of built up sludge, then you should consider changing the oil, also it depends the quality and type of oil used.

If it is a H22A, change it NOW!
Get a 0w-40, 5w-40 or 10w-40 oil. Even Mobil Synth S 10w-40 is cheap at $32 and better than the shit in your engine at the moment.

Relax - Its not going to harm your engine, its not like a 25w-50 oil has the consistency of chocolate pudding. Your car will run fine but maybe your butt dyno will find it a little sluggish but thats about it.

Change it if it makes you feel better, but thats about it,

It will be fine at operating temperature as 50 weight is not that thick. But during cold startup especially with the recent cold weather, there will be a little bit more wear as it will take a bit longer to circulate compared to the spec'd 10w or even 15w.

Cold start up - yes, it will be an issue if the temperature goes under -10 degrees... otherwise, nah...There won't be any issue at all...There's always a layer of oil left on the moving parts anyway from the day before...
