    Advice needed:DC2R or S15 Autech.

    Hi guys,

Firstly, I would like to ask for your honest opinion/advice on which car should I buy? And which one is better overall? DC2R or s15 Autech? As I am planning to buy either one of these cars by the end of this year.

I'm currently 20yo and still on my green P's in Victoria so I can't drive any turbo cars whatsoever. So the DC2R and the s15 autech is my top choices and they're pretty much within the same price range. One main difference is that I have to import the s15 autech (I've asked importers already - I'm just waiting for the AUS exchange rate to go back up this nov/dec).

They both pull similar power at the fly ; N/A S15 autech=150kw and DC2R=147kw and a bit lighter in weight. Im not really fuzzed about power (I only want decent power) as I'm still on my P's so there's no point goin fast. I luv Hondas, especially teggys (R's) (Been drivin a civic since HS, never had a problem) but I love the S15 too...Hard choice. Plz advise and give ur input.

    Much appreciated.
P.S. I already did a search and cant find a similar thread...Dont get pisd off =]

Driven both cars, and definately go for the DC2R man. Well worth the money and less time to wait. Also great areas to mod with the DC2R compared with the Autech.

In the end its ur choice.

    Welcome too!

what answer do you think you're gonna get on here mate?

the way i see it, its rwd fun, with a nice body and more up to date interior than the dc2r...

    vs

highly strung dart fwd with an awesome driveline and track potential out of the box...

i dont think there would be much between them in terms of performance really...
    - not removed by choice! - waiting for the next update to the saga

    DC2R now...S15 sr20det after you're off P's.
    OR
    S15 autech now...turbo it after

Personally, I'd get the DC2R...couldn't justify paying the same amount for an NA when you could get the turbo s15.

    For those who don't know;

S15 Autech is a JDM S15, powered by the N/A SR20DE, but tuned by Autech, with higher compression rate, more aggressive cams, intake tuning, fujitsubo-made exhaust manifold (sexy!), 6-speed from the spec-r with lightened flywheel, helicar lsd (taller gear), chassis bracing and stiffening, firmer and lower suspension and a few other enhancements (incld.spec r turbo brakes)...

Best part about the car though is the engine, it peaks at 200ps(149kw) at 7200rpm!, a bit higher than the SR20DET peak of 6400rpm, this is helped by a comp ratio of 11.7 and cam upgrades. 1kw more power than the AUDM turbo s15 Spec R but slightly less torque, not bad really for an NA...

DC2r i have gone through way too many cars and if i had my time again would have kept the DC2r! YOu will get dissapointed after a while with the n/a s15, wishing you had the jdm sr20det............then you will waste your money on it to try make it one. GET THE R
