    WTF?

"Were all guilty of teasing ppls cars at some stage, boisterously voicing a volley of cynical comments about a car. It may be a car parked on the street, a feature in a magazine, a picture posted on a forum or perhaps you only just caught a glimpse of it as it drove by. The colour, the wheels, the kit or even the car itself - if you didnt like it, you've made it known.

Yet did it ever occur to you that someone out there despises your car just as much? And if you don't even own a car, shame on you. Who are you to pass judgement? sure, your God-given right entitles you to an opinion, but if it's just slagging, are you really contributing anything constructive?

If you're the type that figures yourself a key player in the game, filled to the brim with knowledge on all things mechanical and on the ball with the latest automotive trends, then you my friend, have even more responsibilities. You should be fostering the growth of newcomers, not denouncing them. Remember, you might be good at cars, but there's someone out there who is always going to be better than you.

    Respect - that's what it's all about." W.N. (ASM)
    WTF x2

and if u want to get down to the detail. Fn2r is no type r. considering its made in the brits. wouldnt you only call an authentic type R from jdm? think about it..
Honda - You know, the actual company, decides which cars are Type Rs, fanboys do not. If you want to be pedantic, the only real Type R is the NSX-R with the rest (even JDM) being the clever marketing offshoot.

(but he/she did decide to race, and actually lie saying its a genuine type R, then shame on them. they will get their fair share of laughs)
WTF x3. That makes no sense. Placing Type R insignia (including the Red H) is attempting to do just that. It may not be "lying" but it is certainly attempting to decieve the casual observer into believing that the car is a Type R.

    FFS.

I'll say it one more time, just for the inept: It may not be "lying" but it is certainly attempting to deceive the casual observer into believing that the car is a Type R.

And the image was an allegory. Kind of like that Albert Einstein quote, except this is relevant.

When i see a nice new Civic trying VERY hard to pretend its a Type R with spoilers and Red Hs, etc., I think what a loser. People who own performance cars (of any marque) know what the Red H means and it is only a matter of time that someone is going to line this guy up at the traffic lights.

And for his trouble, he will embarrass every other performance Honda on the road.

I'm sure you would laugh your ass off if somone was walking down the street with a pair of regular Nikes with a Jordan Jumpan sewn on.

I know what i would think.
I have a Type R cf spoiler on my car, however I don't have any red badges. I know that it doesn't make my FD1 any faster, I got it purely for cosmetics (coz it looks good IMO).

I don't believe that's considered as 'trying VERY hard' at all.

And why the hell do you think people who have spoilers and/or badges race people at the lights? If that's what you do with your 'Type R' then I'd advise you to take your inconsiderate backside to the track instead. Please don't do that sort of thing on the streets...

man, a badge is just a dam badge...IMO they are pretty cool...but i wudnt install it on my car...just because some of us dont really have the cash rite now to spend on the actual TYPE R and would like to drive a nice car and wishing that they have a type r...(like me) let em...and you guys wif the fn2r...feel gifted that you guys got a faster car than us fd boys...but please dont look down on us...
a car is just a car...it all depends on the driver...
my fd1 is at par with a wrx on the mountain...but a rolla was actually faster than us with the same driver...

this is a waste of a thread. shouldn't we be supportive of each other instead of hating?

yeah but that guys a douche...ur fn2r is an embarrassment to the name type r. its not even that fast, its kerb weight is 1345kg while the FD2 is 1260kg...so much for the light weight aspect of type r....your fn2r is not as fast as you say it is. FD drivers dont claim they are fast. you fail, i await your starwars pic.

wanabees wana feel like they have injected type R power, go ahead.
others wana laugh at it, go ahead too.
dc5r is faster and lighter than fn2r? so what?
they are targeting 2 totally different market.
us fn2r owners are always biased to think that fn2r is better, just as other model's owners would do.

why flame the post over a piece of plastic worth $5???
dont forget the poster only wanted to know how to take it off.
