its over the kw/per tonne law so no you cant drive it . i went through all of this wen buying my dc5 hence why i didnt buy a type s/r
your wrong and "danielj"'s post explains why, if you have a pre-July 07 probationary license and your car meets the new restrictions but breaks the old ones, then its still fine
If you're in victoria then you can drive it. I've already called up vicroads and currently looking to buy a dc5r (Im a P-plater btw). Drive it, our fat ass will probly make it 50kw per tonne anyway. hahah..jkjk
lol fu ck vicroad they dont no shit , all you get is the interpretation of the person who answers there calls . i rang up an one bitch said i cant drive a stock v6 commodore lol
I've got a friend who has a DC5R, has had no problems with it, the rules are clearly stated in Vicroads, there's no other way you can misinterpret them. If you get trouble with cops, it's clearly stated that it's legal...
but dc5r's are legal... im just saying to take off the stickers and spoiler to attract unwanted attention mate, since p platers get alot of attention already. i would know as im on my p's and i drive a red euro sport.. and i always get pulled over and followed... its just a normal euro that looks kinda sporty with the kit and rims and foggies.
Just curious on what happens if i (NSW Green P-plater) got to Victoria with an S2000 (pretty sure its not legal in VIC for P-Platers) would i have any issues?
