That model accord was built and designed in America i believe. The Japanese 6th Gen is completely different.

The Accord that was shipped to Australia as the Gen6 was designed in America, but all the ones which were designated for Australia were built in Thailand.

Same as the current Accord (the big one, not the euro)

Thai built Accord had better quality control. thats whay they changed

I think it would have been more to do with logistics, what would cost more in terms of transport, Thai to Australia or US to Australia?


Unfortunately in my experience the Thai built Honda's build quality is not as good as Japan's. But what do you expect.

from my experiences the USDM Accord build quality wasnt as good as the Thia built Accords. USDM was pretty short lived.
