    EG VTi ECU PIN OUTS

Hey all, Just had a slight dilemma, when changing my ECU, a pin came out and ive got no idea where it came from...The car still runs fine but the engine light is on and flickers etc. The wire that came out was ALL WHITE so it should be failry easy to locate.

So i was wondering does anyone have the pin out diagram for an EG VTi..
    Thanks

    Christian

They are still US manuals but about 90% of thw wiring ive dealt with on my EG is the same as the US models as i have used the helms for assistance on wiring many times.

I need to find a EG and/or DC electrical only guide..
The helms has alot, but not everything.

At the moment i need to know what each pin on the actual underdash fusebox itself are for (i know the wiring but not which pin each wire needs to goto lol..

Anyway, the helms will help you...

Compare the plug with the pins on the ecu itself... count how many pins there are on the ECU and how many are being utilized in the plug itself. You may get lucky and there will only be one pin not being utilized and you will know its this one.

ill have a quick look and see if i can see it in the manual...

Helms = US version of gregorys/haynes workshop manuals..
Helms is one of the better ones with alot of info.

They are the manuals that you can download off hondatech.com.au

Here you go, here are the 3 ECU plugs on the EG underdash harness taken frpom helms.
Pretty hard to read... Not sure if they are the same plugs as yours, dont know what harness/engine etc.. this is all i have.. Hopefully it's the same.

OK, i followed this wire, it looked odd because it wasnt run with the rest, and it goes thru the firewall... so this shows it was installed when the mechanic installed my motor (b18c)
and it turns out its for the Knock Sensor/vtec. the wire it is connected to in the engine bay is white/yellow. anyone know where its supposed to be plugged into in the wiring harness connectors? HELLPPPP LOL!

    Pinouts

This is a little bit confusing dude!

Do you want the pinouts for an ECU to your EG VTi? or to your conversion, which you say is a B18C?

Easy if you tell us what ECU you are using.

If its a OBD1 P28 like on my B16A then the VTEC solenoid wire is A4. It's normally ORANGE/WHITE. The VTEC Pressure Switch is D6 (ORANGE/BLUE.

If its the Knock Sensor, its D3 (RED/BLUE).

A, B, D= Slot. Numbers are read up and down from left to right, not straight across (see diagram at end).
