Euro not being Driven for 5 weeks

Guys,

I've been away overseas for 5 weeks and my euro has been sitting in my back yard covered up the whole time with the battery disconnected. my last oil change was at 70 000 KM and I used Motul full Senthetic. The car currently has 75 000KM on the clock. Do I need to change the oil again at this stage cause its been sitting around for over a month without being used ? Does oil Degrade at all when it sits in ur engine without being used for long periods of time ?

Yep, I just went for 2 month holiday and left my cars alone.

just start your car, let it idle a while before moving off.. And be gentle. Let the oils move through the parts.

Should be fine. Think about the ammount of time cars sit on dealer holding yards, or even just at the dealers.
Id personally store it with stuff all fuel in it, as it would definately need fresh fuel after that ammount of time.

yup... idle it for a while, let the oil flow properly, then go for a long drive... start of slow and once its fully warmed up, you can drive as normal. the long drive should burn off whatever water vapour in the engine...

maintain your oil change interval of every 6 month or 10k, whichever comes first.

It "might" go flat.... are you willing to take the chance?

Old car, old story.... I was hospitalize for 2 weeks and my car battery did go flat. 1st week, my parents did start the car for me, but 2nd week they didnt. But that cause the audio system I have have a battery voltage LED indicator. I suspect thats the cause of my battery going flat. And that's a 1 month old battery.

If you are following the schedule maintenance, its 10k km or every 6 months.... time to change...
