    camber, toe settings

    hey all
    got a wheel alignment done
    car is civic EM1
lowered on coilovers and 16" wheels

    here are the settings....
    REAR
    camber
    L -1deg 57min
    R -1deg 49min

    toe
    L +2.4
    R +2.6

    FRONT
    camber
    L -1deg 31min
    R -1deg 32min

    toe
    L +1.3
    R +1.2

now i dont have a camber kit...
and from what i've read i should have 0 toe...but the dude at ace tyres said he had to give it positive toe because i had highish negative camber.
    is he right?
can someone please shed some light

well regardless of negative camber, afaik toe settings should be close to 0 as possible to have good tyre wear

just sounds like they were a bit lazy to do the job
if you go on highways a lot then a bit of positive toe in the rear might help stability at high speeds
but having that much toe in on the front isn't going to do you or your tyres any favours
    if anything it'll understeer more
+5mm total toe in on the front is pretty massive

ok, i cant do anything about camber (unless i buy a camber kit and i'm too povo for that atm)

f**K, why did the dude give me so much toe?
i have to admit, the toe on initial measurement was even higher

so i have total toe +2.5mm at the front when it should be 1mm, and +5mm at the rear when it should be 2mm.

should i go back and tell him to adjust hte toe?

total toe is both sides added together
so your total toe at the moment is +5mm, rear total is +3mm

Toe in or toe out ???
5mm of total toe either way with only 1 deg neg camber = WTF???
I agree with vinny & kraiye...
You tyres are going to cop it.

Weird how the rear looks right with the similar camber.

i'd set it 0 front and just a touch 0.5-1.0 degree rear. don't use the settings they say. your camber is fine and is what i'm trying to achieve in my car compared to my 2.5 degrees. as said before toe it what kills tyres
Is this the end of my car modding days? Buying a house says so...
