do plenty of research..... work out your funds..... and make an informed decision..... I had a similar situation, I decided to get my dc2r over a dc5r for numerous reasons......

AUDM DC2R is still by far the closest to JDM DC2R, while AUDM DC5R has only got Type S engine (hence the grey rocker cover) with Type R interior and Exterior

    DC5 for me.
Way easier to get power out of the K20.
Newer car, newer looks, should be 'modern' for a long time yet.

If you like the DC2, go for it.

As for maintaining it, the older car might need things to be done to it as it is more worn out.

and also which is easier 2 maintain..

    cheers.
Like the saying "TO EACH TO HIS OWN" everyones got their own opinion depenin if they drive with the power plant Dc2 or Dc5,an easy way of doing it is why dont you go test drive a teg with a Dc2 and one with a Dc5 engine and you can make your decision then........personaly Dc2 is my weapon of choice even though Dc5 has all the power outputs, but with the Dc2 you have a galore of after market parts......and cheap too!depending how deep your pocket is.lol
