    dc5r headers and exhaust fitment

    Hey Guys

Just a question for the past/present dc5r owners out there,

Does anyone know if DC sports headers and Fujitsubo RM01a exhaust is a straight bolt on for the dc5r with the standard cat?
    or
does it need modificiation or molding done to it?

    cheers!

Why would you a stock cat if you are going aftermarket for the rest of the exhaust system?

You're pretty much bottle necking the exhaust system.

What type of DC sports headers are you getting?

I know that there is a type that has no cat built into the headers.

But if you want to use the stock cat (Don't know why) you would have to cut it off the stock headers, then weld it onto the new one.

Or better yet look into getting an aftermarket cat... most people get good results with the x-force ones I believe, but you should investigate this some more.

It illigal to drive a passenger car in Australia without a cat... so yes, you need one if the DC sport headers don't have one.

But yes, you'll need a cat... its part of the exhaust system, and cuts out most of the "bad stuff" from the exhuast gases.

I've only heard word of mouth on the x-force cats do a little more investigation into some other cats and see which one you like the best. I'm also guessing you'll be getting any exhuast shop to fit it all, they should also have some cats they sell at the shop you could get.

You'll also need to investigate if you need to cut-and-weld the cat onto the headers, or if you can bolt the cat to the headers and the cat back.

    Have fun.
