    K&N Filter Cleaning Kits

    hey guys,

is there any truth behind this whole 6 step cleaning system that K&N sells for $30ish ...??

My filter is quiet dirty but if im going to waste $30 on a kit i'd rather just get a new filter instead for $100.

does it actually work as well as they say? does it 'revitalise' the filter to almost new?

    Thanks
    Mike

1 cleaning kit does heaps of cleans, ive cleaned mine bout dozen times & bottle & can still feel like i'll get another coupla dozen cleans out of em at least,so yeh,if your filter is salvagable, cleaning kit is def worth more than buying new filters.mine still comes up like new every time.

first time i washed my filter through the water, not much dirt came out,
but using the kit, the chemical can loosen the dirt up, re-oil it, look same as brand new

1recharge kit can wash up to 5-10 times, it worth the price

i was suprised how well the cleaning kit works. So would u.
If u have a cai, it gets very dirty quicker, and i dont think u would get a new filter every so often at 100bux each.

dont be a tight ass mikey HAHAHAHA u can get the K&N cleaning kit from Supercheap now and also Go-Gear in Osb Park ar ethe cheapest I think.. ~$25.. you can squeeze 6-10 cleans and re-oils out of a kit and yeah as long as the actual filter/cloth isnt damaged, brings it back to as-new. is quite amazing when u see how much crap flushes out when you rinse it !!

can only be used on cotton gauze type filters mike, if you have a foam filter, go to a motorbike shop and get cleaner kits and tack-oil from there..
