if your radiator is full (squeezing pipe makes coolant bob up and down) but your reservoir is low on coolant, is it advisable tp top it up?
When your have been driving and the engine is hot, stop the car and check your resevoir. It should be at the max level. When the engine is cold, the level should be about 1cm below maximum.

I've seen a quite a few Honda engines with corrosion from using wrong coolant. Having said that, many aftermarket coolants being sold today are compatible with Honda's coolant, unlike 10 years ago.

Also, if you already have Honda coolant in there and don't need to flush, then you're better off using Honda coolant to top up and not use a different brand. If you want to drain all the coolant, feel free to use another brand. Just choose the correct type to avoid water pump corrosion.
