fact: both are relatively old now
    fact: both are relatively gutless
fact: teg = 1.8, civic = 1.6 - therefore teg has more torque which is always good in daily traffic.

other things you need to note as well as answer yourself...
    a) which cars look do you like better?
    b) which cars insurance can i afford? - the teg will probably cost more to insure as its a 2 door "sports car"

Resell value will be about the same for both, assuming both are stock.
Both in stock form will fetch a value up to 10k, obviously depending on kms, condition etc.

they both look alright to me, i've driven both and seem the same.
both have their ups and downs. im planning to get only third party fire and theft, so its the same price.
    thanks for the advice

the cxi will be more fuel efficient & cheaper to run.

resale should be fairly close on both.

Thats something that i've forgotten... fuel economy.
1.6 will be a lot better on fuel!
d16 with a light foot will net you close to 500 every tank, whereas the b18b will net you 400 if you're lucky!

If you're only getting 3rd party, then i'd say the CXi will be the cheaper option for you overall.

In my circumstances, you will have to be very lucky to net 400km for a tank with the dc4

just my 2c, but i say cxi, for some reason i like the hatch shape over the coupe (and yet i drive a sedan), i get over 500 per tank easy from my d16 and that's with a vtec session or 2

but in the end whatever appeals to you more, you are the one who will have to look at it and drive it daily

a b18b gets only 400kms max? so your saying that majority of integra's run 10L/100kms?
