Last thing I can think of is the fast idle valve on the inlet manifold - if its getting old it can cause a hunting problem as they bleed too much air and get stuck...this would normally only happen when the cars warming up or has just been started.. costs about $150 from Honda.

Nick, check your Idle screw.. i know once mine got loose and i had the same problem... the more id drive the more it would loosen and the whole car just ran like shit.. idling in the teens, throttle responce was horrible...

Tightened it back up and it drove like a dream again =]

also when you replaced your IACV did u clean it? if not, take that shit back and out drown the bitch in carbi cleaner .. a tiny bit of carbon build up can throw your air flow out of whack... let me know bro!

The car drives pretty good it just idles all over the place.

The IACV is clean yeah, well as clean as you can get it.

The fast idle valve on the bottom of the intake has been cleaned and tightened up too. As soon as i fixed that up the initial idle speed when cold dropped from 2200 to 1600 where it should be.

Ok, the problem doesn't seem to be intake related. I've sorted it out best i can but its still hunting every now and then after hot running/sitting at lights. however if you switch the engine off then start it up again it stops, which makes me think its elec related... ideas?
