All I can add is that E10's lower mileage is NOT a myth! I tried it over and over again in the 2.4L engine and consistently got noticeably lower mileage compared to the normal ULP.
Guys in this thread made a good suggestion. Trial and error method between ULP and E10 will work!
I used Caltex 98 since I bought my car (96 CD5) then I got a bit short of money few weeks ago so I used the 91 octane. Believe me, somehow car starts easier, no change in power (octane level does not increase/decrease power) with 91.

Currently I'm trying out the normal ULP.. 91 isn't it ? @ Caltex.
Guess i would do once more on that and then switch to the E10, given the Fuel lid does mention , the car is suitable to run on E10 version.
Hopefully I should see better mileage.. currently its down to 12.8L for 100kms.
Surely better than the 14L to 100 , it was a few months back.
Ive got the 09 accord euro from which i brought at peter warren honda, the fueling stations at the service center are Shell also in the customer service areas at this honda dealer they advertise Shell fuels and products so i assume if you own a honda its best to use shell , the service guys @ honda told me that i should top my car up with
1) Shell V power (98) if not,
2) BP's premium i think its called ultimate or something like that
3) other
Honda also stressed that the fuel should be 95 minimum
i also from many people that you should never use E10 if you've ever studies chemistry you should know that it wears out your engine/parts
Just don't get Mobil, or atleast, not if you're in Victoria. We've just had our 2yo Aurion written off due to fuel contamination which is currently in the news. $22K engine/exhaust/fuel system replacement wasn't economical to replace under insurance.
Looks like it's Shell from now on.
