Due to the power increase, you need to upgrade your brake system if you drive very hard. If you want to improve your handling, you may step by step to upgrade your car. Such as, coilover, stru. bar, LSD..etc.

seriously, if u wanna beat a type r get a gtr or something. or go for k20a engine swap,or a fully built engine for turbo. because in the end the type-r will still own u.

like if ur car is modded lets say, cams, exhaust and the usual upgrades and maybe a bit more. ull definately beat the type -r, but a stock one that is.

and i dont think there are many stock type-r, [Not many..lol], and if the type r had engine work it would also own u, so in the end your never gonna win the battle.

unless if u go engine swap, turbo, or get a car that can beat it.

and also you'll have to upgrade brakes, sussy and etc.

Just drive better..... you could never beat a type-r if the guy has the same skills like you. The reasons why it's that hard to beat a type-r is the good balance setup by the factory, but not on a civic non R

You could do mods on your civic but the type-r could do the same thing also, so just try to squeeze out everything on your car and you'll be fast enough no matter what car are you driving. This is my thoughts

very true !!!!! personal experience, if u can drive your car to the 100% of its potential, u will beat a tpre-r with a lesser driver(someone that can't drive its type r to its max potential). At the end of the day, all it comes down to is driving skill.
