That would be for non-vtir models.
Vtir generally go for about 11-13k (after haggling of course)

How do you clock that many Km's for a 98 model.
Based on average (20,000kms a year) it should have at MOST 240,000 kms.
Lol.

As a general golden rule, dont buy a car with over 270,000km on the clock, unless you are ready for a rebuild or a swap.

was about to say.
If your planning to keep the car for along period and wanna fix it up
Make him bring the down the price more so wen the engine shits itself, rebuild it
Depends on the reason your buying the car though

Seeing as it is a huge amount of kays it might mean that they are mostly highway kilometres.
And we all know highway kilometres are good kilometres.

It looks Fu*kin new because it's being sold at a dealer.
These dealers have contracted car detailers that know all the quick tricks of the trade to polish out defects and clean out the interior.
Example. When I lived in Perth I knew a friend who bought a car with faded paint on the roof from a 2nd hand dealer. But it wasn't noticeable during the sale because a thin layer of sunblock was smeared over the roof to make it look shiny!
Also the car may have been garaged all its life. Which is the way it should be. I don't understand why people in the suburbs buy a house with a double garage, fill the garage up with useless junk and park their cars on the driveway where sun, rain, hail and bird crap drop on it all day.
Most importantly, don't EVER judge a car by its looks alone.
