    hyper left indicator problem

    hey guys,

i have just recently fired up my ek again, haven't driven the car for about a month. The left indicator has gone hyper, i have changed the fuse and that didn't help. All the indicator bulbs are okay, not sure where to from here?

    any suggestions ?

If a bulb is blown the indicator blinks much faster.

    Check that out

yeah usually when your indicators go hyper, one of your bulbs arent working or is blown

could be wiring issue or flasher relay playin up test the switch circuit in the relay.. also bulb could be about to blow causing more resistance

im not a pro with this but
since you said all the light bulbs work fine

maybe you could check it out by wiggling or removing/putting back every individual bulb
    then test again

since you said u havent driven it in a while
something might be blocking a terminal? i dunno

Nissan's do this alot, it's not the bulbs, it's the wiring or relay. By any chance have you modified any of the stock indication harnesses in the past?

maybe you should check whether its the right bulb, single contact twin contact same voltage and watts 24v or 12 v

its a lack of resistance in the circuit, which is normally from a blown bulb, but can also be caused by a bad ground, or faulty flasher relay.

I'd change the flasher relay it out for a non resistance type anyway. Much easier and then you can use lower resistance bulbs or LED's if you want to without having the hyper flashing issue.
