HID and Carbon Plug Cover install on DC2R

any hints on how to get the "Honda" and the "DOHC VTEC" on the cam cover nice and shiny again? mine have got this sorta corroded look.

You can possibly get sand paper and sand it carefully making sure you don't sand the red bit and then polishing it with some metal polish.

Good trick is to get a pen/pencil/stick and wrap sand paper around that for working around small areas

Make sure you use a fine grit, it will take a little longer, but it won't leave lines on it like a lower grit rough paper would.

I thought my cover was faded, will give it a light wash, if I can get a spare cover cheap enough, will get it powdercoated in yellow like the Spoon ones, then the Carbon Fiber cover will look even better!

Install my hid's yesterday. Anyone get a weird audible buzz noise coming from the ballasts when you turn on your headlights for the 1st 10 sec?

its the ballisters powering up - its normal.

the whistle is from the filter not a leak. it happens with any pod filter

Nah my car wasn't even on. 100% positive its coming from the two ballast

Yeah i think ur right went to check it out and notice the bulbs gets brighter during the buzzing noise coming from the ballast
