You cant just say blanket statements like that. Have you driven on v70a or v710?

ku36 is bang for buck, agreed. Running a set now, At this stage I can only compare them to ad07 in the same class of tires.

From experience, my previous set of Ad07 were better tires in both the wet and the dry. Dry performance however is similar between the two. The sidewalls on ku36 feel spongier in comparison to ad07. Ad07 just felt more predictable and controllable (ran 205/50 on a 7in wide wheel).

By running 205/50 ku36 on an 8in wide wheel I have managed to atrifically 'stiffen' the sidewall so steering feel is a bit more direct. They still have high levels of grip in the dry. Ad07 seemed to turn in nicer though (my car still had the same suspension settings for both tires). I'd like to bring some ad08 over next time to compare, but they are more expensive again than ad07.

But bang for buck, I can recommend ku36.

falken 452's are supposed to be really good, high grip wet and dry plus they last forever i think 17's go for about 170-190 each not sure if thats the price range you are looking for though. boys at the tyre shop said that bridgestone and yoko's have gone up a fair bit in price so falkens were the way to go.

People that say that the re001 is crap in the wet are totally wrong. When I first got my ef8 it had shitty Taiwanese made continentals, with stock sussy, no confidence at all, I then got a set of re001 and it made a huge difference in the wet, didn't even want to lose traction in the wet or in cornering, then I installed cusco zero 2s and it's just as good in the wet than it is in the dry. Tahts just my opinion

About to replace my worn re001s with ANOTHER set of re001's this week. Can't wait.. $150 195/55/15. These will go up in price in the next few months permanently imo, because as we all know, the bridgestone tyre factory in australia has shut down.

kumho ku31 are crap, rather pay a bit more and get re001 than ku36 for bang for buck

(i hate people who says re001 > re050, that is just stupid)

    opinions of falken 452 anyone?
