    I'm in Melbourne.

Unless there is a sale soon at autobarn or somewhere, I'm just gonna go OEM oil as I'm strapped for cash atm.

As for the oil filter, if it's not in the book, they're not going to change it unless I ask them to (is that what you were getting at?).

I've used both oil's in my euro. Edge 0-40 and Motul 5-40w

I found the Motul to hold up a little more longer than the edge. Also, Motul burns next to no oil and engine seems quiter with Motul? Dunno y.

Found the Engine with Motul 8100 Xcess a lot smoother, quieter and freer reving after moving over to it at the 10,000K service . No burning of oil either. Goes a little dark quite quickly thou probably due to the detergent qualities of the oil.

Agree. Used Castrol Edge 5w-30 for the past two services. Fantastic oil. Reasonable price too. Don't forget to change the filters too!

    thanks for the advice,
going for edge 5w-30, cos I'm poor (It's on "sale" at Repco for $40 and I have a 20% off voucher)

Also, the price difference between bringing my own oil and using honda fluids was $43, and I was only going to bring my own oil if I could do it for cheaper than the price margin.
