eg6 cluster- any brighter?

ive been reading over on hondatech and clubeg6 about how the eg6 cluster is not very bright when u turn on the lights when its dark. there was a thread going where they tried to install leds to get it to be brighter but it didnt work.
has anyone found a solution to make the eg6 cluster light up brighter?
and can they share this magical solution for us please

oh, and the dimmer dial doesnt work for the eg6 cluster, nor does it work for the ek9 cluster, apparently the ek9 doesnt have a dimmer so thats why its just one level of brightness, i assume thats why the eg6 is also one level as well, but it shouldnt mean u cant put brighter wattage bulbs in
