Thoughts - quiet, grippy in wet conditions, turns well in corners, side walls may be a bit soft as i had punched one tyre by a pot hole & had to get a new one afterwards
What tyre pressure are you running? You might want to increase it to about 36 psi if the sidewall is soft.

Thoughts: Always have used T1r, best tyre IMO if you dont want to run a semi. Awesome wet weather grip and semi-slick performance in the dry looing to try R1R next
HORSEPOWER is how hard you hit the wall.
TORQUE is how far you go through it!

Compared to OEM RE040 they perform ALOT better. The RE040's are even worse in the wet, the VSA would blink like it's a christmas tree.
    depends how hard you drive.
have never had problems with the VSA with any tyres even half bald ones in the wet

what tyre pressure should you have on the tyres?? cause the recommended ones seem to be a bit flat, but i dont want to blow the tyres or too hard as well. ANY SUGGESTIONS

RE001's (Known as the RE760 in the US/Europe). Are a good tyre... IF you can manage to get them for a good price... The price for which you would pay in an ordinary tyre shop is simply too expensive. Their tread wear doesn't justify outright grip. They're better than average in the wet and sidewalls a firmer than standard. The bridgestone tyre centre discounts were you can get 16" 205's for below $140 a tyre is good value. I would however put several similarly priced tyres (RRP) ahead of them. Michelin PS2's, Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's, GoodYear Excellence/Eagle F1 A-Sym, Dunlop Direzza Z1 StarSpec.

Don't FORGET Tyre opinion/reviews are VERY subjective. Different driver, car, conditions etc. As long as you stick to a High/Extreme Performance Summer Tyre of a major brand. Grip will be more than sufficient for the street/spirited driving.

The Michelin Pilot PS2's (rated Best Street tyre of 2009) are quite pricey in Aus. Their retail price doesn't justify the difference between competitive Tyres. They don't wear TOO well either. I got quoted $250 a tyre for 225/45/R17's which was on special from $310 or something. Quite Pricey.

If you're considering the PS2's perhaps consider the Dunlop Direzza Z1 StarSpec, Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's or the Good Year Eagle F1 A-Sym.

I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's fitted on Monday ($205ea F&B)... After they're worn in I will test them out and will post opinion.

Thoughts: Ok in the dry although it wants to screech a bit at take off. Horrible in the wet. VSA keeps going off. Heaps of understeer with VSA off in the wet.

    came with my wheels
ive had them for about 3 months or 4 months but they have been used alot longer than that before.

sidewalls seemed alot stiffer than my last set which were toyo t1r. alot more confidence in the corners and grips harder in the dry. havent tested the limits in the wet, don't think i want to from what i heard lol. but ppl say they r only OK in the wet.

What about Azenis RT615's for street use? It will be between the R1R toyos and the azenis.
