Clutch Free Play

Ive just noticed when driving my integra gsi, i have about ~2-3 inches of free play on the clutch before i feel any resistance, does this mean my clutch needs replacing?

same with the gas pedal theres about ~1 inch free play and the brake pedal bout 1/2 an inch

gas pedal dats akward? u shoudlnt not have that.. brake pedal can relate to master cylinder kit being on its way.. but im not to sure. I personally have no free play after changing my brakes.

CLUTCH pedal HONESTLY I JUST GOT MYN REPLACED and i HAVE THIS ****tard of a problem it wont go away all mechanics do is readjust the clutch cable it and it just becomes shitter. and im not sure if my old clutch was the same.. i think it was i just got use to it.. lol

Does ur clutch pedal bounce back? if u let go quickly.

I got the same thing with the clutch, I don't know if its a problem though? But yeah, gas peddal is touchy as, so you might want to get that checked out.

with the clutch put it in 3rd gear and try to take off. btw u should b able to if its a good clutch

i could be you master cylinder with the clutch also.

Does GSi have cable clutch like DA9? if so tighten the clutch cable by turning the plastic adjuster clockwise (to move friction point up the pedal) or counter clockwise (to move the friction point down). if that doesn't help enough, there's a big bolt up top of your clutch pedal assembly that stops the pedal which you can also adjust the "pedal to floor" distance with.

If it's not like the DA and has a hydraulic clutch, things like really old clutch fluid, faulty master cylinder or in the worst case a worn out clutch disc could be the cause.

In terms of the accelerator pedal having free play, tighten the accelerator cable a little. This worked for me in my DA when I had it. and with the brake, well the possible causes are pretty well old fluid, master cylinder or if it's only a little bit of freeplay, maybe the pads are just worn down? I remember when I had the pads changed in my DA that the pedal felt like it had a bit less freeplay afterwards.

any chance u can provide a pic of this BOLT? on top of the pedal ? i couldnt see any. i only found 1 nut that i couldnt even get around to turning which is attached to like a spring?

should be opposite to what he said, put into 3rd gear and when releasing the clutch you should stall.

If you can take off in third gear then your clutch is worn.
