Beep sound while not wearing a seat belt

Hi All - I am new to forums. Please excuse my ignorance. The query below is for people who own a CIVIC 2010 model.

Could you please let me know if there is/is not a beep sound when the passenger sitting besides the driver does not wear a seat belt?

I put this question to both my honda dealer and honda Australia and got diff answer from both. Dealer saying by design it does not beep. Honda saying it should beep. Now waiting for Honda to get back to me. In the mean time I wanted to post this here to get info from other Civic 2010 owners.

Yes. Mine does not beep when the passenger besides the driver does not wear a seat belt.

Sounds great. My girlfriend's corolla beeps if you even put a bag on her passenger seat. I wanna shoot it seriously...
