    kenwood kac-6401 amp or kac-7252 amp??

    what do you guys think about my system set up... i have a 12in pioneer 800watt sub and i was thinking of buying a kenwood KAC-7252 amp and use that to power my sub....would it be too strong to use that amp...or should i use my kenwood kac6401 amp instead...which i bought it the another day..
    so...feel free to help me..

    btw...heres the power spec for the kenwood KAC-7252 amp
    * Maximum Output Power
    o 1000W
    * Rated Output Power (14.4V)
    o 170W x 2 at 20-20kHz
    o 250W x 2 at 1kHz
    o 500W x 1 at Bridged 1kHz

    and heres the kenwood kac-6401 amp power spec
    maximum output : 320watt

    30W x 4 at 20-20kHz
    30W x 2 at 1kHz
    80W x 2 Bridged at 1kHz
    40W x 4 at 1kHZ

    i've got a 15" soundstream turantula sub, top of the range rated 1000W and im only using a 5 channel soundstream turantula, but only giving the sub 450w and i manage to pull out 151 DB's. I say if you dont intended to use the other two channel than dont get the KAC-7252. If i were you i'll look for som other brand that gives you more power rating. Try eclipse, or even boston. the mid-range soundstream amps are not bad either
