    a friend in the states has a jdm vtir block, jdm type r tranny with ls final drive ratio. he had to use a custom/modified bellhousing but wont go into exact specs about it. all he will tell me he copied it from import tuner magazine....

    anyone know anything about this?

    Not sure what your what your friend did Joyride, but all you have to do is take the gearbox out, slide your gearset (synchro hub, gear etc) off the countershaft and put it onto the new countershaft. Then swapout the differential gear and put everything back in.

    Not sure why he would have to modify the bellhousing' unless it was a cable box/b16a hydro box with factory LSD (which has some issues according to the ATS site.
